There are a wide variety of tools available, including some that are provided by the University or are freely available online.

The following programs are available on the computers at the Schusterman Library.

  • Adobe Reader DC: Allows user to view and print PDF files
  • Adobe Acrobat 2017: Allows users to view, create, edit, print, and manage PDF files (including OCR/text identification)
  • EndNote X9: Citation management software
  • Firefox: Internet browser
  • Google Chrome: Internet browser
  • Internet Explorer: Internet browser
  • JMP: Allows user to perform sophisticated data management and statistical tasks
  • Mathematica: Technical computing environment (available on computer pod nearest to the leisure reading collection)
  • MATLAB R2014a: Software tool for numerical computation and visualization
  • Microsoft Edge: Internet browser
  • Microsoft Office: Includes Access, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word
  • Microsoft OneDrive: File hosting service
  • NVDA Screen Reader: NVDA allows blind and vision impaired people to access and interact with the Windows operating system and many third party applications (available on the computer pod nearest to the new books collection)
  • Respondus Lock Down Browser: A special browser that allows for secure test administration. While using this browser, users will not be able to print, copy, visit other URLs, or access other applications.
  • SAS: Allows users to perform sophisticated data management and statistical tasks
  • SPSS: Allows users to perform sophisticated data management and statistical tasks
  • Wepa Print App: Allows user to upload documents to our printing system, Wepa
  • Windows Media Player: Allows users to play music and videos
  • Zotero: Citation management software
