OU-Tulsa Three Minute Thesis Competition - Jan. 18th at 6pm

OU-Tulsa will be hosting a local 3 Minute Thesis competition on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 6:00 PM online via Zoom. Students will present their dissertation, thesis or other graduate level projects in just 3 minutes (and with just 1 slide) to a non-specialist audience.

Visualization in R using 'ggplot2'

DAVIS (the Data Analytics, Visualization, and Information Syndicate) at Bizzell Library is offering a free intermediate online workshop on Visualization in R using ggplot2. Tulsa-based students, faculty, and staff are welcome!

This workshop is an active learning “code-along” overview of visualization using the popular R package ‘ggplot2’.  This is an expansion and extension of the R plotting materials presented in Data Carpentry.

***Prior experience coding in R is required.***

Visualization in Python using Matplotlib

Matplotlib is the most widely used scientific plotting library in Python . This workshop will cover intermediate uses of matplotlib, including making different types of graphs, customizing graphs, and producing groups of graphs from raw data.

Python is a popular language for scientific computing, and great for general-purpose programming as well. This is a beginner-level workshop for researchers presented by OU Libraries. Our workshops cover better practices for research, data, coding, and communication. No prior experience is needed (i.e. no prerequisites).
