The Schusterman Library Ambassadors advise and inform Library leadership to help us improve and better serve the campus, promote Library resources and programs to the broader OU-Tulsa community, and help the Library make a difference at OU-Tulsa.

Program Length

The Library Ambassador program lasts one academic year.

Responsibilities

Feedback

  • Provide feedback and suggestions regarding improvement of Library services, resources, and programming.
  • Serve as a liaison between the student body and Library.

Outreach & Engagement

  • Promote Library services, spaces, resources, and events. This may include word of mouth or social media marketing, or participating in promotional and instructional video and photo shoots.
  • Occasionally attend classes, meetings, and Library events as a representative of the Library.
Expectations
  • Attend monthly meetings.
  • Complete brief library/research tutorials.
  • Staff 1 library event per semester.
  • Send 5 library announcement emails or social media posts to classmates each semester.
  • Write 1 testimonial endorsing a library resource or service.
  • Create 1 guest post to the library's Facebook each semester.
  • Volunteer for other projects as needed.
