Library Workshops

In order to reach as many people as possible, the OU Schusterman Library offers library instruction in different formats. These instruction approaches are designed to meet the needs of our diverse users.

Campus-wide workshops

These free, cross-disciplinary workshops are open to everyone, including the public.

There are currently no workshops scheduled, but librarians are happy to meet with students, faculty or staff for individual consultations.

Information Literacy for Faculty

Because of the explosion of print and electronic information students are not able to learn everything they need to know in their field of study during their time at OU-Tulsa. Faculty Resources for Instruction

Developing lifelong learners is central to the mission of higher education institutions. Every time your students practice research in a systematic way, they strengthen their decision-making skills that help them construct a framework for learning how to learn - for continued growth throughout the students’ careers as well as in their roles as community leaders.

Faculty request for library instruction

Often the best way for students to learn how to use library resources is at their point of need. When you have an assignment that requires students to look for articles, understand what peer-reviewed work is, go beyond the capabilities of Google, or use the best sources for evidence-based research, this is the perfect time for the librarian to come to your class.
